LVAP Tester

Salary: Up to £70,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Benefits

The Opportunity

We’re looking for experienced LVAP Testers to join projects across Central and West London, working on high-value commercial fit-outs and data centre environments.

This role is suited to someone who has already worked as an LVAP Tester and can confidently take responsibility for LV electrical testing, verification and safe energisation on site.

Day-rate options are also available for the right candidates.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead LV inspection and testing activities on site.

• Test, verify and certify electrical installations.

• Carry out controlled energisation and isolation of LV systems.

• Work to approved RAMS, permits, switching procedures and site processes.

• Identify and assist with electrical faults and testing issues.

• Complete test sheets, certification and handover information.

• Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors and commissioning teams.

• Maintain a strong focus on electrical safety, quality and compliance.

• Support the delivery and commissioning of major London projects.

What You’ll Need

• 2391 Inspection & Testing or recognised equivalent.

• 18th Edition / BS7671 qualification.

• Previous experience working as an LVAP / LV Authorised Person Tester.

• Solid commercial electrical testing background.

• Experience within commercial fit-out or data centres.

• Good understanding of LV distribution, isolation and energisation.

• Valid ECS/JIB card.

• Comfortable working independently on live project environments.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation.

Useful Experience

• Previous LVAP / AP authorisation.

• Data centre or critical infrastructure projects.

• Large commercial fit-outs.

• Complex LV distribution and commissioning.

• Full UK driving licence.
